Description |
Directed percolation (DP) interpreted as a dynamical process. The figure shows a particular realization of bond directed percolation. Activating a certain site (called seed) a directed cluster of active sites is generated. Interpreting the preferred direction indicated by the arrow as a time coordinate, DP can be regarded as a stochastic particle process evolving in time. The table shows the corresponding number of particles N(t) as a function of t. |
