Direct Action Against Drugs

Direct Action Against Drugs was a vigilante group in Northern Ireland which murdered drug dealers [1]. It was a front for the Provisional IRA. The organization has also been active in working class neighbourhoods of Dublin. They have been instrumental in clearing less-well-off areas of drug-users and drug dealers. In these areas they are closely linked to the Sinn Féin activists in the area [2].

Martin McCrory - small-time dealer shot dead at his home in Turf Lodge, west Belfast.
Chris Johnston - 38-year-old shot dead at his home off the Ormeau Road in south Belfast.
Francis Collins - a former member of the IRA, was shot dead at his chip shop in the New Lodge, north Belfast.
Paul Devine - 35-year-old alleged drug dealer shot dead on the street in south Belfast.

January 1996
Ian Lyons - died a day after being shot while sitting in a parked car in Lurgan.

September 1996
John Devine - shot dead in Friendly Street in the Markets in south Belfast.

February 1998
Brendan Campbell - a 30-year-old convicted drug dealer shot dead outside a restaurant in south Belfast.
