Sorry to hear about your metacarpal, but on the positive side, it's my pleasure to let you know that, consensus being reached, you are now an administrator. You should read the relevant policies and other pages linked to from the administrators' reading list before carrying out tasks like deletion, protection, banning users, and editing protected pages such as the Main Page. Most of what you do is easily reversible by other sysops, apart from page history merges and image deletion, so please be especially careful with those. Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 1000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

There's no way you would have known, don't worry about it. LANL didn't label its source at all and unless I knew otherwise I would too have assumed it was a Los Alamos-owned picture. I only knew it wasn't because I once tried to secure rights for it a long time ago for a project I was working on and realized that it was a wire-press photo and thus owned by Corbis, who charges extortive licensing fees on historical photographs of that sort. You asked: What is the significance of Dzikie Pola to this article? And Winnetou lives underneath Karl May. Let me reply and explain why I insist they should be there: Dzikie Pola form a kind of 'Wild East' of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, and so are an interesting 'see also', mostly unknown to English reader (who have likely never heard of PLC either, so no suprise here). As for Winnetou, he is more widely known then Karol May. Hi Dino; Crystal healing is one type of crystal power, and crystal power was two sentences long before the merge. Nothing is gained by having separate articles (now they're just duplicates of each other); I'll make a sub heading called "Crystal healing" in the crystal power article. Plus, the image of a quartz crystal is just that, a quartz crystal, so it's just a "decoration" of sorts. What do you think? --CDN99 03:08, 16 December 2005 (UTC)

The image was tagged as PD-Usgov, but it was taken from a state government website. Since it's no longer on the original site, I can't verify that it's available under another license. It needs a different license, or else we'll have to delete it. Night Gyr 07:00, 8 March 2006 (UTC)

I too am skeptical of certain matters as well, incl. psychics. I grew up with the "Seeing is believing" family value myself. As stated, I know you're not the kind to go out and insult people at all. I have been caught between skeptics and believers. I have yet to see a psychic, other than what has been advertised in the media, such as "Let Sister Valdees cure your LOVE problems." or "Let White Witch Sistro cure your money problems." I've seen UFOs myself, encountered aliens, along with trigger happy neighbors myself, been around ghosts, incl. one that was a pipe smoker. We (my family) verified who the pipe smoking ghost was. I have yet to see a chupacabra, a Bigfoot (Did have a smelly encounter, but did not see a bigfoot.), vampire, a angel, a demon, other strange matter. I did investigate the famous and not so famous paranormal matters, when NOT hunting for gold, meteorites, fossils, other precious metals. I did not mean to offend you at all, and I'm humbly apologising if I have done so. I have had some really bad experiences with both skeptics and believers. One of the former threatened me, while one of the latter reported that IF there is alien contact, the planet will erupt into rebellion and pointed out the existence of private armies a.k.a. Hey, Just to say hi, thanks for all the articles and everything else on wikipedia. I added a space to "thunder egg" on the wiki page for them, as I had tried to do a search for "thunder egg" and didn't come up with anything, then googled it, and found "thunderegg". As I'm not a guru at wikipedia, the space worked. I'm sure there's a better way, but at least now it can be found by searching with or without a space in between.
