Dingle Road railway station is a railway station serving the town of Penarth in the Vale of Glamorgan in South Wales. It is the located on the Penarth branch of the Vale of Glamorgan Line from Cardiff to Penarth.
Dingle Road is unusal for being on a gradiant or slope. The gradiant to get to Dingle Road is very steep, which has caused many of Arriva's Class 142 and Class 143 to fail, or to crawl up the gradiant if the train is just running on one engine instead of it's two engines.
The second platform, which is visable in the photo, has been disused since the 1960's due to Beeching Axe.
Passenger services from this station are operated by Arriva Trains Wales as part of the Valley Lines network.
