Dinesh Nandan Sahay is a former governor of Chhatisgarh and Tripura .

He is from Patna.He was a lecturer in the H.D.College of Ara before joining Indian Police Service in 1960 .

After retirement he joined Samata Party .He was the first governor of Chhatisgarh state.
