[edit] From Talk:Digitizer
What is digitizer? Tell me part of digitizer. History of digitizer. Example of digitizer. Digitizer is use for what?--From anonymous user, 210.186.26.190
"Sci-fi for young comics often include the term digitize as the act of transform people into digital signals, sending them to a computer. When that, the people disappear from real world and may appear into a virtual reality game.
This is not the same as the act to get the texture of a real object and digitizing it – this is very common in modern films and video games, such as Mortal Kombat."
I don't understand this muddled nonsense and question whether it serves any useful purpose in this article.
[edit] Windows_CE
From the Windows_CE article "The defining characteristics of the pocket pc are the digitizer as the primary Human Interface Device and its extremely portable size." what does digitizer mean in this context? Mathiastck 18:05, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
- I think the digitizer is what reads the pen input? Mathiastck 22:50, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] disam
Obvious we need a disambig page, for these are all meanings, and though there's a common thread, the material is different. But one "word" that does not apply is "electronify" . If it has any meaning at all, it seems from Google to be used in to sense of convert a large project to an electronic version, which is much more than just digitizing something. Its a separate concept, and I'm not sure what normal human word it corresponds to. We can deal with it on the disam page (or here, as a ref. But it is not a synonym.DGG 06:31, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
