Dr. Dieter Salomon (born 1960 in Melbourne, Australia) is a German politician and current mayor of Freiburg im Breisgau. He is a member of the Alliance '90/The Greens.

He was elected to the Landtag of Baden-Württemberg in 1992, and assumed the position of head of the Green Fraktion in 2002. He withdrew from his delegation after his election to mayor in 2002.
