Dickinson's Real Deal is an antiques television programme hosted by David Dickinson that began airing on ITV1 from November 6, 2006.
[edit] Overview
The basic format of the show is as follows; members of the public are invited to bring in any antiques they own or have discovered to independent experts for valuation and more importantly, for sale. The expert will then offer the participant a subjective amount of money which can be accepted, therefore making a deal, or can be turned down. If the deal is refused, this then means that the item is sent to auction where David Dickinson helps the participant reach an expected sale total. This is somewhat risky however as the item might not make a profit or even sell. Discussion has been made regarding the shows simillar format to the BBC programme Flog It!.
RDF Television West have been commissioned to produce 40 episodes of an hour in length for series 1 and plan to produce 70 hour long episodes for future series.
