Dick Gernert

Richard Edward Gernert (born September 28, 1928 in Reading, Pennsylvania) was a First Baseman and Outfielder for the Boston Red Sox (1952-59), Chicago Cubs (1960), Detroit Tigers (1960-61), Cincinnati Reds (1961) and Houston Colt .45's (1962).
He helped the Reds win the 1961 National League Pennant.
He finished 25th in voting for the 1952 American League MVP for playing in 102 Games and having 367 At Bats, 58 Runs, 89 Hits, 20 Doubles, 2 Triples, 19 Home Runs, 67 RBI, 4 Stolen Bases, 35 Walks, .243 Batting Average, .317 On-base percentage, .463 Slugging Percentage and 170 Total Bases.
