From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dick Briel is a Dutch comic artist from Amsterdam who follows the Ligne claire style. He is most famous for his Professor Julius Palmboom comics. So far, 3 adventures have been made, with a 4th in production:

  • The Tacho-plant mystery (1980s)
  • The Rustygranade (1980s)
  • London labyrinth (1999)
  • Ratcliffe Highway (not yet published)

He also did the comic "Hulbert" and wrote a few others.

The stories are science-fiction, dealing with things like killer plants. Another book was released called 'Sketches from Victorian Times' though it is not an adventure. There are also some short stories in the second book. The 3rd book was left 'to be continued' but 'Ratcliffe Highway' has not yet been released.
