Dick Beals

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Richard "Dick" Beals (born March 16, 1927) is an American voice-actor. He has performed many voices in his career, which spans from the early 1950s into the 21st century.

Two of his voices were the characters "Yank" and "Dan" of the "American Eagles" troupe in the mid-1960s cartoon series Roger Ramjet.

He also voiced the famous claymation character Gumby for awhile in 1957. From 1960 to 1964, Dick played the voice of Davey Hansen on Davey and Goliath. He did not do any voices for that series after 1965, when Norma McMillan replaced him as Davey Hansen.

Perhaps his most recognizable characterization was the voice of the stop-motion animation figure called "Speedy Alka-Seltzer", featured in TV ads for many years.
