Diary of a Crazed Mimbanite, or DCM, was a webcomic that was popular among the Jedi Knight gaming community. It was written by Al MacDonald. Its subject matter usually revolved around the original Star Wars trilogy as well as the Dark Forces series of games.

[edit] Attributes of the strip

DCM did not have a running story in the traditional sense, but since it often parodied memorable scenes and story arcs from Star Wars, one could put together a continuous story over many strips.

[edit] Characters

DCM's characters were mostly parodies of characters from the Star Wars movies and Dark Forces games, with parodical names. For example, Ben Kenobi was Bing Kerosbi, and Darth Vader was Darth Dingus.

Cliff Nerfherder
Hero of the strip, a not so smart parody of Luke Skywalker.
Darth Dingus
A play on Darth Vader, the concept behind Dingus was based on how anyone would react if they found out they were a father with rebellious kids.
Hal Alone
Known as a "smuggler, scoundrel and truck driver," Hal is Al's take on Han Solo.
Princess Yoohoo
The parody of Princess Leia who has not been seen much throughout the strip.
Bing Kerosbi
The cleverly named parody of Ben Kenobi, Bing shows up to fill the same rolls as Ben Kenobi.
The Emperor
With no other name or information, The Emperor fills the roll of Emperor Palpatine.
Yogi
Like Yoda but the ultimate control freak. His face is based on that of Stanley Kubrick.
WD-40
WD-40 brings the author's translation of what R2-D2 must be feeling to the audience.
Oobi-Doo Kerosbi
The young version of Ben Kenobi, also known as Obi-Wan Kenobi. He is featured in the strips revolving around the Star Wars prequels.
Bui-Gon Soon
His name is a pun of Qui-Gon Jinn's fate, it is pronounced "Be Gone Soon."
Darth Gnaw
A parody of Darth Maul. Like Maul, Gnaw does little. To quote the author, "he's cool looking".[1]
