Diane Black (born January 16, 1951 in Baltimore, Maryland) is a Tennessee politician and a member of the Tennessee Senate for the 18th district, which encompasses Robertson County and part of Sumner County, Tennessee.

Before becoming a state senator in the 104th General Assembly as a member of the Republican Party, she had previously served as a state representative in the 101st, 102nd, and 103rd General Assemblies. Black is the Assistant Floor Leader of the Senate Republican Caucus, a member of the Senate Government Operations Committee, and the Vice-Chair of the Senate General Welfare, Health and Human Resources Committee.

Black graduated from Anne Arundel College in Annapolis, Maryland with an associate's degree in nursing in 1971. She graduated from Belmont University with a bachelor's degree in nursing in 1991 and worked as a Registered Nurse.

According to answers given in the 2002 Tennessee State Legislative National Political Awareness Test, Black believes abortions should be legal when the pregnancy is a result of incest or rape, or if the life of the woman is at risk. She supports the use of the death penalty in Tennessee, allowing citizens to carry concealed guns, and requiring a license for gun ownership. When Senator Steve Cohen introduced legislation that would legalize medicinal marijuana in 2004, Black, then a state representative, said that she believes medicinal marijuana is being used as a ploy for those who want it fully legalized, and that legal perscriptions are available for those with medical conditions.
