Diana Ross is a 1976 album by Diana Ross for the Motown label, her second self-titled LP (the first was her 1970 debut album, later rereleased as Ain't No Mountain High Enough).
The album was Ross' biggest-selling album since 1973's "Touch Me in the Morning", and the first of Ross' albums since her debut to yield over 4 hit singles.
Two of Diana Ross' singles became #1 hits: "Theme from Mahogany (Do You Know Where You're Going To)" (also included on the Mahogany soundtrack), and the disco anthem, "Love Hangover". Both singles helped break the album into the top ten, and also helped silence any rumors that Ross' music career was faltering. Of course, her solo career would still have an up and downwards climb as the years progressed, but the Diana Ross album was proof that Ross still mattered as a pop star at the time.
