Diana Peacocke

Councillor Diana Peacocke is an elected UUP politician for the North Down area of Northern Ireland, sometimes referred to as the Gold Coast, and was a candidate in the Assembly Elections in 2003. Armed with an economics degree, she is involved in several businesses and contributes to a wide variety of committees. Her main concerns are in appropriate planning, creating jobs, education, health and in the abolition of the introduction of water charges.
She will serve as Deputy Mayor of North Down from mid 2006 to mid 2007.
Other interests include, running a short series of fashion pieces for radio and has written for a magazine as a restaurant critic.
Married to Dr. Cordner Peacocke, an assessor of the Department of Trade and Industry and an expert in renewable energies to the European Union, they have one young son.
