Diamonds & Rust is a 1975 album by Joan Baez. Though Baez is more often regarded as an interpreter of other people's work, Diamonds & Rust contained a number of her own compositions, including the title track, a haunting song written about Bob Dylan. The album also covered songs by Stevie Wonder, The Allman Brothers and Jackson Browne.
Her cover of Dylan's "Simple Twist of Fate" features Baez doing a very convincing impression of the song's composer.
On the song "Dida", Baez was joined by Joni Mitchell and her backing band at the time The L.A. Express.
