Diamond Princess is a large cruise ship owned and operated by Princess Cruises. She began operation in March 2004 and primarily cruises in Alaska during the summer and the Mexican Riviera in the winter. Her only sister ship is the Sapphire Princess as both were built in Japan by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
