Dhupguri is a census town in Jalpaiguri district in the state of West Bengal, India.

As of 2001 India censusGRIndia, Dhupguri had a population of 37,998. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Dhupguri has an average literacy rate of 73%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 78% and, female literacy is 67%. In Dhupguri, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.

The only college in Dhupguri Sukanta Mahavidyalaya was established in 1981 with the departments of English, Bengali, History, Economics, Philosophy, Political Science and Education.
The College is affiliated to the North Bengal University, Siliguri. The first Principal of the college, Prof. N.C.Paul, was instrumental in introducing subjects like English Honours, Bengali Honours, Economic Honours,History Honours, Political Science Honours, Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science. He also introduced Computer Diploma Courses with the help of a Private Agency having permission from the affiliating university.
The second and current Principal Dr. Mukul Nath has introduced Physical Education And BBA.

- There is a Vidyaashram, a self-sufficient village following the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi,near Dhupguri established by Dhirendra Nath Dasgupta.
- There is a big club named STS club which arranges spectacular Kaali Puja, a Hindu Festival.
