Dhobi Talao is a neighbourhood in the city of Mumbai, India. Its name means washerman's lake. It is located in the South Mumbai area. The pond/lake which gave the place its name disappeared before the mid-17th century. A public library stands over the land that was the lake. Just off the current site, is the famous Metro Cinema.

The lake used to be fed by a number of underground freshwater springs, which were recently uncovered while constructing the subway in the locality.
