Dhivehi League

Dhivehi league is the official Maldivian soccer/football league which is held annually, organized by the Football Association of Maldives. Every year, 6 teams of the 1st Division (6 Teams from the second round of Divehi League of previous year) participate in the Zone 9 Qaulification round with the Champions and Runners up of the 2nd Division.

Zone 1-8 consists of the Atolls and the winner of zone 1-8 and the top 6 teams of Zone 9 Qualification participate in Dhivehi league.

The bottom 2 teams in the first round of Zone 9 Qualification are relegated to the 2nd Division. Also the bottom 2 teams in the 1st round of Dhivehi league are knocked out of the league with the remaining 6 teams advancing into the second round.

The top 4 teams of Dhivehi league qualify to play the Malé league that year.
