Dharshini David

Dharshini David, economist and news presenter, was born and brought up in London, England. David joined the BBC network in 2000 as a financial reporter, and can be seen on BBC News 24 in the United Kingdom, and elsewhere on its international counterpart BBC World. She has also presented for the BBC's current affairs series Panorama, BBC One news and British national radio.
David was educated at the James Allen's Girls' School, often referred to as 'JAGS', in Dulwich, South London, and read Economics at Downing College, University of Cambridge.
She has also worked for independent think tank Oxford Economic Forecasting, for the UK's Government Economic Service, and for HSBC Investment Bank in London. She has been presenting World Business Report from New York since August 2006.
David is of Sri Lankan Tamil descent.
