For Cinci Freedom, I'm happy to award you the Oddball Barnstar, awarded to editors who create a particularly fine article regarding a subject that is odd, whimsical, or is otherwise something that one wouldn't expect to find in more traditional encyclopedias. Thank you for writing it! ;-) SlimVirgin (talk) 02:34, 5 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] AFD vote vandalized

Your vote to delete on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gentlemen's Shaving Club was vandalized by a user changing your vote to keep. I reverted the page but it might be worthwhile keeping an eye on the page. ♠DanMS 02:13, 30 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Crystalcherry

Crystalcherry has been recreated, I believe it lacks notability as per the previous AfD. I got involved in this when User:Cherryrain went "Opps", twice on Avril Lavigne and then requested my assistance after I reverted. I suspect this user has been biten/slighted by the AfD, and is not acting entirely in good faith. Cherryrain mentioned User:Drini's agreement for a rewrite; I'm not optimistic that will be sufficient to satisfy all users involved in this issue. (suggest replies/discussion should be directed to Talk:Crystalcherry) (CC'd to multiple users) - RoyBoy 800 05:59, 19 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] German translation

Hi there, I am wondering if you might be able to tell me what the German word "geliebkost" means? I am working on an article for which I can only find German sources and Babelfish cannot translate the occasional word. Thanks in advance. bcatt 12:25, 8 February 2006 (UTC)

Hello...I have indeed come across a few more words in my research which babelfish cannot translate, these are: Altgläubigen, Herrenrechtler, and Ritter der mata dolorosa. Also, would you say that "practical egoist" is an accurate translation of "praktischen Egoisten"? Thanks very much. bcatt 20:48, 18 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:50532 submission image 898 medium.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:50532 submission image 898 medium.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. Sherool (talk) 13:35, 11 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] pics of Byronosaurus and Pachyrhinosaurus skull

Hello! Do these images really have a "free to use for any purpouse" license? The copyright info says otherwise. --Dudo2 08:22, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

Ahoj. The license as mentioned on those web pages allows their use on the english wikipedia. The problem is, that I thought you gave those pictures a license that reads "The copyright holder allows anyone to use it for any purpose." for some special reason, such as permission from their author. Thus I uploaded them to wiki commons. Now, if the copyright holder didn't allow use for any purpose, we have to change their license description on english wiki, and delete them on wiki commons. Best wishes, --Dudo2 18:45, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Dinosaurs

Hey Devotchka, I noticed you recently added your name to the participants list. Welcome to the team! On the Wikipedia:WikiProject Dinosaurs project page, you can sign up for tasks, find out what still needs work, or of course work independently. Again, welcome! :) --Firsfron 16:45, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WP:PROD

Hey Devochka. Your recent AfD of Copient Technologies has led me to wonder, why it is that you went straight to AfD instead of using WP:PROD instead, and then I saw that you just came back from a 6 month hiatus. Welcome back. While you were gone, we developed a new deletion process: PROD. Slap ((subst:prod|reason)) on the page, and if nobody disputes it for five days, it's deleted. It saves everyone lots of time by not having to vote at AfD. My apologies of course if you were already familiar with it and chose to bypass it for whatever reason. - CrazyRussian talk/contribs/email 14:55, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

Oh good! Use it in uncontroversial cases, such as Copient Technologies. If it's removed for whatever reason, it cannot be replaced - rather, you must take it to AfD. And if you'd like, you can review others' proposals here: Cat:Proposed deletion. If you think something ought not be deleted, remove the prod tag and explain in the edit summary or in the talk page. Happy editing, and see you around. - CrazyRussian talk/contribs/email 17:41, 24 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dinosaur articles

Hey Devotchka!

I saw you just added your name to the list of people planning to expand Wikipedia's shortest dinosaur articles. As many of these articles are incredibly short, with almost no info provided yet, adding almost any information will be very helpful. If there's anything I can do to aid you, please let me know. Thanks again for volunteering for this rather laborious task. :) Best wishes, Firsfron of Ronchester 22:17, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

I've been working on stubs for a while, but I'm excited to start on these! (They're, like, mini-stubs, aren't they?) Devotchka 07:33, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
That's exactly right, Devotchka. Adding just one or two sentences would probably double their sizes. I work on these often; we originally started with about 800 of these. But there are still plenty left! And every few weeks, a new dinosaur genus is described! Happy editing! :) Firsfron of Ronchester 10:18, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
Sweet! You're doing a really nice job on these stubs, Devotchka! :) Firsfron of Ronchester 20:35, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hamburg chicken

No prob. It was a bit short, but t's clear you mean to expand it. Have fun!

I had no doubt based on the edit summary.  :) Thanks for being so nice. - Lucky 6.9 06:04, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
