Devin Wardlaw is a musician currently living in San Francisco. He's been performing and writing music for twenty one years. An accomplished bassist, and guitarist, he has performed Afro-Cuban jazz with Kool & The Gang at Cafe Bravo in San Diego, recorded with legendary sound engineer Steve Albini, whose credits include recording Nirvana's "In Utero", and P.J. Harvey's "Rid of Me". He has also worked in many bands and side projects, one of which included a short-lived stint alongside Swans drummer, and ex-Helios Creed drummer Jon Weiss.
He is also the founding member, and songwriter for the Olympia, Washington based experimental art rock band "Sonido Faction". The group's refreshingly eclectic sounding music was first released through the record label Yo Yo Recordings, a label that featured the band on its 1996 compilation "Overboard." The label is also widely known for releasing material by such acts as Beck, who appeared on their 1994 compilation release "Periscope". Other groups released on the label also include Yo La Tengo, Rancid, and Unwound, to name a few.
