Devil's Peak, Hong Kong
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Devil's Peak (魔鬼山) is the peak besides Lei Yue Mun on Kowloon, Hong Kong. The peak was garrisoned by military or pirates in some time of history to control the passage of Lei Yue Mun, which is an important to sea transport in South China. The remains of a redoubt and a battery are still visible on the peak.
The Peak is 222 metres in height. To the east of the peak lies Tseung Kwan O Chinese Permanent Cemetery, whilst Yau Tong lies to its west. The hill extends its ridge south to water in Lei Yue Mun and north to Chiu Keng Wan Shan.
Section 3 of The Wilson Trail starts near, and rounds Devil's Peak. It is possible to access the fort on foot from the Wilson Trail.
