The Detroit Commerce Building is located at 138-150 Michigan Avenue (the corner of Michigan Avenue and Shelby Street), in downtown Detroit, Michigan. The high-rise stands at 13 storeys, 12 above-ground, and one basement floor. It was built in 1925 and was designed in the Chicago School style of architecture. Demolition has begun in the last couple of weeks and crews are working on taking this building down to create parking for the Book Cadillac Hotel.
