[edit] Of tragedies and own-goals

The language of sport is different to that of real life. I'm a Forest fan and I remember Dessie's own-goal in the 1991 cup final painfully well but to call it a 'tragedy' a few paragraphs after using the same word to describe the deaths of 96 people is insensitive at best. In this context, a word like 'misfortune' would be better for describing the own-goal. And Des was arrested after his testimonial so there's no need for 'allegedly' [[1]].
