Desha Breckinridge (1867-1935) was the editor and publisher of the Lexington Herald from 1897 to 1935. In 1898 he married Miss Madeline McDowell, who became nationally known as Madeline McDowell Breckinridge. He was a brother of Sophonisba Breckinridge.
