"Desensitized" is a B-side track of the band Green Day. It appears on:

  • The Australian and Japanese versions of nimrod. (1997)
  • The compilation Shenanigans (2002)
  • The UK version of the Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) single (1998)

The song opens up with Mike Dirnt smashing objects with a baseball bat. The song is about the Internet.

The song contains a remarkable resemblence to the later hit single 'American Idiot'. The song structure is essentially the same and during the bridge the main tune is excactly the same.
