The Descent of Mary (Τεννα Μαριας) is a minor work of the New Testament apocrypha which presents an anti-Jewish legend. It portrays Zachariah as having been put to death by the Jews because he had seen Yahweh in the form of an ass in the Temple in Jerusalem.
