DerEngel is the online alias of a computer hacker and published author.

Most famous for his hacking advamcents in regards to cable modems, DerEngel has been hailed the as the underground Prometheus of super-broadband.

His alias is most likley derived from German, which translated means The Angel.

Today, DerEngel is the CEO of the California based company TCNISO INC. which developes firmware/software for embedded applications.
