Another advertisement? Maybe it is me. — Bill 22:02, 14 Oct 2004 (UTC)

- Keep. Very notable. First web comic artist to win major comics awards (few people win both a Harvey and an Eisner in the same year). Current article does read like an ad, though. — Gwalla | Talk 00:30, 15 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Keep! Derek Kirk Kim has had serious, positive reviews of his work. I am going to add a bit, but Joey, don't expect others to do your work, you started it, come on expand it, we have other articles we are working on too! --AlainV 00:33, 15 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Keep! & Fair enough Alain -- will do. Joey

- comment: Derek didn't add the entry -- I did. Derek's considered pretty important on the webcomics scene (see this month's issue of the Webcomics Examiner -- www.webcomicsreview.com -- which is completely dedicated to Derek). I added the entry as part of my modification to the entry for "Web comic," which has a listing of "significant artists" -- a listing that only included two artists before I added a few more today. Since I had added Derek to that list, I went ahead and started a little entry for him, to link to. Anybody on the webcomics scene could vouch for Derek's importance. I appreciate that the entry I wrote was not very well-done, though. I was hoping somebody else could come along and expand on it. - Joey www.moderntales.com

- comment: I think that calling this "deletion trolling" is uncalled for. The article as it stood when this was nominated was a stub with an external link and only one internal link, read like marketing, and half consisted of a promotional quote. I don't blame Bill for listing it here—it looked exactly like an advertisement. — Gwalla | Talk 02:52, 20 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- It should have been cleaned up, not put on VfD to hope others clean it up for you. anthony (see warning) 13:22, 20 Oct 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Healing Hands
It looks like he's given up on the Healing Hands serial. I updated the page to reflect that. --N. Scott Rose 20:47, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
