Derek R. Audette

Derek Raymond Joseph Audette (born June 16, 1971) is a Canadian artist, musician and poet.
Audette was born in Hull, Quebec. He has lived most of his life in the Ottawa Valley region of eastern Ontario and the city of Ottawa. A musician, painter, film-maker and poet, in the 1990s he was a member of the bands Lexington Blues, Swamp Ash, and Wardenclyffe. During the same time he also acted as producer for a number of local Ottawa musicians.
In recent years Audette's focus has turned to poetry and abstract painting. Much of his work is released to the public free of cost and copyright restrictions. Audette makes wide use of Creative Commons. Much of his poetry, music and writing is widely and freely available on the internet.
