Deputy Conservator of Forests (India)

A Deputy Conservator of Forests or Divisional Forest Officer is an officer belonging to the elite Indian Forest Service. He is responsible for managing the Forests, Environment and Wild-Life related issues of a district or a division of districts of a state or a union territory of India. He is assisted by the officers of the State Forest Service and other State Forest officials and State Wild-Life officials.
