Department of Industry, Tourism and Resources (Australia)

The Department of Industry, Tourism and Resources is an Australian Government department. It's role is to encourage growth and sustainability of Australian industries through innovation, investment and international competitiveness. The department reports against two outcomes:

  • achieving a stronger, sustainable and internationally competitive Australian industry, comprising the manufacturing, resources and services sectors with outputs of program management services, policy advice and business services.
  • enhancing economic and social benefits through a strengthened national system of innovation with outputs of program management services and policy advice.
