David John Denzil Davies (born October 9, 1938) was the Welsh Member of Parliament for Llanelli for the Labour Party from 1970 to 2005, and a member of the Privy Council.

He was one of the few Labour MPs in the House at the time of the 1997 landslide returning Labour to power to have experience of government under James Callaghan who he served as a Treasury Minister. He resigned from the front bench in 1988 in protest at Neil Kinnock's management style. He is seen as a Eurosceptic, and opposed the National Assembly for Wales.

He stood down at the 2005 general election, and was replaced by Nia Griffith.
