Dennis Wideman

Dennis Wideman (born March 20, 1983 in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada) is a professional ice hockey defenseman who currently plays for the St. Louis Blues of the NHL.
Wideman was drafted from the London Knights in the 8th round, 241st overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. Dennis made his NHL debut on Nov. 9 at Columbus, registering two penalty minutes … Recorded his first career NHL point (assist) on Nov. 12 at Nashville … Scored his first career NHL goal, a game winner on Dec. 1 versus Columbus … Notched a three game goal-scoring streak from Jan. 17-Jan. 20, scoring two powerplay goals and one shorthanded goal over-the-span … Tallied the game-winning shootout goal on Feb. 12 at Edmonton … Was recalled from the Peoria Rivermen on Nov. 8 and missed only one game for the Blues, appearing in 67 games for the season. He wore jersey number 25.
