Dennis J. Hutchinson

Dennis J. Hutchinson (born 1946) is a professor of law at the University of Chicago. He graduated summa cum laude from Bowdoin College (1969), and holds a law degree from the University of Texas (1974) and a master's degree from Oxford University (1977), where he was a Rhodes Scholar. Hutchinson was a law clerk to Justice William O. Douglas and Justice Byron White of the US Supreme Court. His biography of Justice Byron White was a New York Times Notable Book for 1998. He was once married to Diane Pamela Wood, a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
