Denistone East is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Denistone East is located in North West Sydney and is in the Juristiction of Ryde Council at a local government level. Its state electorate is Ryde and its federal electorate is Bennelong and is bounded by the suburbs of Eastwood, Denistone, Marsfield, North Ryde, Ryde and West Ryde. An unusual round-about exists in Denistone East at the intersection of Lovell, Quarry, North Rds and Cecil Street that resembles a figure 8. Denistone East postcode 2112.

Denistone East Public School is a large local primary school educating over 700 students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 and was rebuilt in 2005 with completely new administrative, assembly and class room blocks. Denistone East Public School is also one of the few state schools in NSW to have a swimming pool on its grounds.

Denistone East's only retail area is 'Midway', a small strip of retail premises including newsagent, grocer, chemist, video store and petrol station that cater for the local community. However Denistone East is conveniently located near Macquarie Centre, a large regional shopping centre and the Eastwood and Ryde commercial areas. All are within 3kms of Denistone East.

Public Transport in Denistone East is limited to State Transit Authority (STA) Government bus services.

The 286 service operates between Denistone East to the Sydney CBD via North Ryde and Lane Cove on weekdays during peak hours. Selected services operate via North Sydney and terminate at Milsons Pt.

The 518 service ( and X18 express weekday peak service) travels through Denistone East between Macquarie Centre and the Sydney CBD via Ryde, Gladesville, Balmain and Pyrmont. This service operates 7 days.

The 515 service ( and X15 express weekday peak service) travels through Denistone East between Eastwood and the Sydney CBD via Ryde, Gladesville, Balmain and Pyrmont. This service operates 7 days.

The 544 service travels through Denistone East from Macquarie Centre to Auburn via Eastwood, Dundas, Ermington and Silverwater. It transports residents to Eastwood Train Station, Denistone East's nearest train station where residents can then travel on the Northern Line north to Hornsby and South towards the City via Strathfield. This service operates 6 days a week (Monday-Saturday).
