Denise Coffey (born 12 December 1936 in Aldershot) is a British actress.

After training at the College of Dramatic Art and then the Royal Scottish Academy of Music, Coffey began a career in rep. in Edinburgh at the Gateway Theatre, then moved to the Palladium Theatre there. She later worked for the BBC as a radio interviewer, before enjoying a career in West End theatre.

Coffey's notable film rôles have included "Sidonia" in the Waltz Of The Toreadors in 1962, "Peg" in Georgy Girl in 1966 and "Soberness" in Far From The Madding Crowd in 1967. And her notable television appearances include Do Not Adjust Your Set, Captain Fantastic, Girls About Town, End of Part One and the Stanley Baxter series.

On radio Coffey starred in the first season of The Burkiss Way and has made guest appearances on several programmes, including I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue.

Coffey has also enjoyed success as a theatre director, including several notable productions at the Shaw Festival in Canada, such as Noel Coward's Private Lives and Bernard Shaw's Androcles And The Lion and Pygmalion.
