Denham Golf Club station is on the Chiltern Line out of London Marylebone towards High Wycombe.
The station was built as part of the construction of the Great Western/Great Central Joint line from Grendon Underwood junction to Marylebone via High Wycombe. Its original name was "Denham Golf Club Platform", and it was built to provide access to the adjacent Golf Club. It became a Halt between the wars, at which time the platforms were lengthened. Its present name has no suffix.
The waiting rooms are still the original GWR 'pagoda' structures, and are listed. The ticket office, at road level on the down side, is also a pagoda building, but has recently been damaged by fire and may have to be demolished. It is not clear whether the ticket office is listed.
The original platform lighting standards were cast iron, and marked "G.W.& G.C. Jt" to reflect the builders' identities. These were removed as part of a modernisation of the station lighting - and indeed as part of the modernisation of the whole line - at around the same time as the new 'Class 165' diesel multiple unit stock was brought into service.
Its fairly infrequent trains serve the adjacent community of Higher Denham almost exclusively, as nearly all golfers reach the Golf Club by car.
The station appears in the opening scenes of an episode of the 1960s TV series Man in a Suitcase called Brainwash.
