Deng Gai

Deng Gai (born March 22, 1982 in Wow, Sudan) is a professional basketball player, formerly in the NBA. He played college at Fairfield University and graduated as number eight on the NCAA's all-time blocked shots list. During his Senior year, Gai led the nation in shots blocked during the 2004-2005 season with 5.5 blocks per game in the NCAA. Gai went undrafted, but was signed as a free agent by the Philadelphia 76ers; after playing in only two games for the team, he was waived in December 2005. He then briefly played for the USBL team the Dodge City Legend.
