Denby High School

Denby High School is a secondary educational facility operated by the Detroit Public Schools system. Located on the northeast side of Detroit, Michigan, the school which serves grades 9-12 opened in 1928 and was named after Edwin Denby, an attorney, former Michigan legislator and Secretary of the Navy during the administration of Warren G. Harding. Denby was forced from his position and narrowly avoided indictment for his involvement with the Teapot Dome scandal. Also known as Denby Tech, the school is one of the only Detroit public educational institutions offering advanced placement classes to high school students.
