Demodocus (dialogue)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Demodocus is one of the dialogues traditionally attributed to the work of Plato, from the person addressed therein. It is uncertain whether this Demodocus is the same friend of Socrates, and father of Theages, who is introduced as one of the interlocutors (conversational partner) in the dialogue Theages. Regardless, the dialogue Demodocus is now generally acknowledged to be a fabrication of a late sophist or rhetorician.
