[edit] History
The term was coined by Manchester, New Hampshire's WMUR newscasters during the November 7, 2006 elections to describe the shifting of political power in New Hampshire from Republican to Democratic. For the first time since 1911, the New Hampshire House of Representatives came under Democratic control. Also, it marked the first time in New Hampshire state history that the Democratic Party was in complete control of the State government, by controlling the House, Senate, Executive Council, and Governor's office.
