[edit] Conclusions
(basically a summary of Avocado's proposal below)
- Articles that contain substantial amounts of useful information about the area code should be kept, but renamed so that its title indicates which country it's in.
- Stub articles on area codes should be merged and redirected into a comprehensive list, preferably one without redlinks.
- If and when enough additional information is added that an area code's description no longer fits into the list format, the information should be moved into a separate article.
More and more articles about specific area codes (mostly North American) have been popping up lately, and considering the consensus on Postal Codes, I thought I discussion was needed on notability. --InShaneee 21:48, 3 Apr 2005 (UTC)
[edit] North American area codes
Uncle G's major work 'bot is about to move another ... er ... small hill. But a consensus is required on the naming scheme to be employed. Please review Category:Greek Area Codes, Category:United Kingdom area codes, and Category:North American area codes, and then contribute to the discussion at Talk:North American Numbering Plan#US-centric_area_code_page_titles.
