Delta Theta Chapter of Beta Theta Pi

The Delta Theta chapter of Beta Theta Pi was founded at the University of Alabama in 1964. By Fall 2006, Delta Theta has reached a record high of 90 active members. The Delta Theta chapter also has a new fraternity house to be ready by the Fall of 2007. It will be over 17,000 square feet and three stories tall, having 34 rooms. In the mean time, the brothers of Delta Theta are residing in the Sigma Delta Tau house at 921 Colonial Drive, an old uninhabited sorority house. Delta Theta has won ONE 'Sisson Award,' acquired in the 2005-06 school year. It is also the reciepient of the 'Virgina Tech Award' as well as the 'Most Improved Chapter Award' from their General Fraternity in 2005-2006. The Delta Theta Chapter was awarded by the University of Alabama the 'Most Improved Fraternity Award' on campus during the 2005-2006 school year. Playboy(C) Magazine's February 2005 ed., in the article 'Top 10 Fraternity Parties' ranked the Delta Theta's chapter of Beta Theta Pi "Whiskey River Party" as being the Number One Best Party in the nation.
