Delay 1968, or just Delay (as the SACD version is titled), is a compilation album of early outtakes of Can's work with singer Malcolm Mooney, including some of the band's earliest material. It contains the song "Thief", which was later covered live by Radiohead.

According to an article by Holger Czukay [1], this was originally intended to be the band's first album and would have been titled "Prepared To Meet Thy Pnoom", although no record company was willing to release it so they tried again, successfully this time, and recorded "Monster Movie".
