Del West

Del West is the leading high-performance valvetrain supplier in the world. Their most well known product is the Titanium Valve but they produce many other parts in the engine including the air spring for Formula 1 and MotoGP as well as finger followers and tappets. They have divisions in Valencia California--known as Del West USA--and Roche Switzerland--known as Del West Europe. Their business is mostly targeted at Formula 1, NASCAR, MotoGP, and other high-end racing series although they now are supplying product to certain limited series street and off road vehicles such as the C6 Z06 Corvette, KTM motor cycles, MV Agusta motorcycles and Ducati motorcycles.
Del West was founded in 1973 as a materials testing lab. Del West began manufacturing valves for the racing market in 1977 and had moved completely out of the materials testing business by 1981.
Del West is privately held and has its headquarters in Valencia, California. The President of Del West is Alfred Sommer.
