Deirdre de Burca

Deirdre de Burca is an elected member of Wicklow County Council and Bray Town Council for the Irish Green Party. She was first elected in 1999 for the Bray district, and was returned with an increased vote in 2004, when she was also elected to the Town Council. She was born in Co. Dublin, and is one of the most high-profile members of the Green Party in Ireland.

She was the Green Party candidate at the 2002 general election in the Wicklow constituency, receiving 6% of the poll, and is also the candidate for the 2007 elections.
