Def Wish Cast are a Sydney hip hop group who released their first LP Knights of the Underground Table in 1992. Though they only released one album, they remain legendary in the Sydney and Australian hip hop scene as pioneers, they achieved notable success in Europe. They were the first hip-hop group to tour Australia.
Def Wish Cast comprised of MC's Def Wish, Die C & Sereck with DJ Vame. "A.U.S.T" was the group's single from their LP which was the first Australian Hip Hop music videos to be played on Australian TV.
In 2006 Def Wish Cast Released an LP "The Legacy Continues" - featuring the single "All Stars" - one of the first Australian Hip Hop film clips to be shot on 35mm and encompass special effects.
Def Wish, Die C & Sereck reunited in 2006 after over 20 years to release a new album but DJ Vame has since left the group. DJ Murda 1 can now be seen DJ'ing at their live sets.
